This summer we have been privileged to host three awesome undergrads as part of summer internship programs: Kelley Wilson (SROP), Jason Rivera (PRECS) and Gerardo Amaro (AAP) – along with IB Student Nick Lisa. Kelley, Jason and Gerardo have been investigating the molecular basis of photoprotection and gained experienced of performing a forward genetic screen with Arabidopsis thaliana. It has been a lot of fun, and we are super proud of their efforts on campus poster sessions. Glad to welcome Nick and Gerardo back in the fall, and we will be sad to see Kelley and Jason go, but wishing them all the best for the future!
